We start at the very top and work to the bottom. All cobwebs and ceiling dust are removed from the ceilings and corners. All ceiling fans are thoroughly dusted, then wiped down with either Murphy's Oil or Pledge to remove all post construction dirt and film. All doors, and wood trim around windows and doors, are dusted and then thoroughly cleaned with Murphy's Oil. We "gently" scrap off each "spec" of paint from hardwood and tiled floors and windows. The hardwood and tiled floors are then vacuumed, damp mopped and buffed to bring up the shine. All manufacturers' labels are removed from windows, kitchen and bathroom appliances and fixtures. All kitchen cabinets are damp wiped and then carefully and meticulously cleaned with Murphy's Oil to "showcase" the natural grain of the wood. The inside of all appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, etc.,) are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We use the correct "specialty cleaning products" properly to bring out the natural "glossy sheen" of stainless steel appliances, chrome fixtures, granite or marble counter tops and floors. Plus, all fingerprints are removed from door handles, door jambs, push plates and light switches. We don’t have the same problems inherent in a large organization with many employees, using an inflexible "cleaning system". A cleaning system that is usually based on rigorous and impractical time constraints. We are not a "Beat the Clock" type service. When Done Right by Carol is cleaning your home or your office, you can rest assured that one of the owners is on the job, and that the job will be completed to your satisfaction. Will the same people clean my home or office every time you clean? - Absolutely! Every time your home or office is cleaned, you can bet that at least one of the cleaning professionals will be there every week, and at least one professional, possibility two, depending on scheduling and manpower requirements, will be an owner. Do you have adequate insurance? - Yes we have more than adequate insurance. At "Done Right by Carol" we have "general liability" insurance covering up to a million dollars per incident, with a three million dollar total aggregate. Also, all of our employees are fully bonded. D o I have to sign a long term contract or agreement? - Residential customers do not sign any contracts or agreements. Commercial customers sometimes prefer to sign a contract. However, all of our commercial contracts have a thirty day written "escape clause". Generally speaking, at "Done Right by Carol" we prefer to let our service speak for itself, and allow your satisfaction, not a legal document, be our security. What will it cost to have my house cleaned? - The price to clean your house will vary with the size of your house, and the amount of services you want us to supply. For instance, an initial clean (spring clean) for a fairly large house could run between $175.00 and $350.00. The average cost for a regular maintenance cleaning, for that same house, should fall between $100.00 to $175.00. Do I need to be home on the day my house is scheduled to be cleaned? - Most of our customers prefer to schedule cleaning services when they are away from home, others prefer to be present during the cleaning process. It is your choice, and it will not affect our performance. We want to schedule our service so that it’s both convenient and timely for our customer. Insurance Certificates are available upon request. We furnish all the cleaning supplies, unless the customer expresses a desire to use a specific product for a certain task. If the customer has the product available, we have no problem using their product of choice. We normally work in teams of two people. However, it is also possible to have one person service your home or office, or a team of three people. It all depends on manpower requirements and scheduling dictates. Payment for Services - Payment for residential cleaning services is due the day of service. We accept cash or personal check. - Commercial customers are billed on a monthly basis, and a company check is acceptable. Cancellations - We understand that occasionally "things happen" without warning to disrupt your normal schedule. In that event, we can cancel your scheduled appointment and place you in the next available time slot. Or just cancel the appointment completely, and pick your service up on the next regularly scheduled appointment. If at all possible, please give us at least 24 hours advance notice on a cancellation. Refunds - Cleaning is a very personalized service and sometimes it’s very difficult to quantify the end result. Therefore, we do not offer refunds on a completed cleaning service. Our policy, of course, is to do the job properly and thoroughly up front. However, in the event that you are not satisfied with some aspect of our service, please call us within 24 hours, and we will return free of charge to correct the problem. Just as an aside, to date this has never been an issue Extra Services - Please give us 48 hours notice on extra services that you may require as part of your normal cleaning service. This will give us sufficient time to allocate the proper manpower and resources to accomplish your additional tasks without compromise. Employee Safety - Our employees are a big part of our success, and we want to keep them safe and healthy. Therefore, if you would like us to clean behind a major appliance or a large piece of furniture (refrigerator, range, breakfront, curio cabinet, etc.,.) please have it moved far enough from the wall to allow us to clean the desired area. Tipping - At "Done Right by Carol" we never require or expect a tip. Your continued patronage is thank you enough. However, occasionally a nice thank you note to your cleaning professional can go a long way. New ownership had taken over, and the little family owned company she had worked for, just wasn’t the same. And so, Carol and I began to think of an alternative to her then current job. It didn’t take long for us to settle on a viable choice. Carol had always wanted her own business. She loves to clean, and cleaning to Carol is a joy, a means of relaxation. Just cleaning is not enough however, but cleaning well is the only option. So we decided that a residential and office cleaning service would be a very suitable alternative. Today, several years later, Carol’s business is flourishing. We have a wonderful client base, which is basically a 2 to 1 ratio of residential to office customers, and we continue to expand that base one "select client" at a time. We are truly a family owned and operated enterprise, and consequently, we look upon our clients as an extension of our immediate family. Since we are a small company, our philosophy has forced us to focus on a small but select group that we consider "upscale homes and professional offices". And with each new client comes a new set of responsibilities for us to make that home, or that office the very best it can be. That is our personal guarantee to everyone of our current and potential clients. Our focus will always be on our clients best interest - a super clean and healthy home or office. They have all come to expect the very best from us.
